Jonathan Burton’s Amazing Card Illustrations
We’re not one for card games, but we’d spend hours making a house of cards with these beautiful works. Which one is your favourite?
Big News: We’re Now Open at Yonge + Eg!
We’re so excited that our newest outpost is officially open. Our new space proudly showcases our growing in-house lifestyle brand, Shared. As expected, the interior has been carefully curated with unexpected elements. The floors are created from custom Spanish tiles and Moroccan pattern concrete to create the illusion of area rugs, as pictured above. Our fixtures include an antique apothecary unit hosting a neon “DRUGS” sign, its sister neon “PRESCRIPTIONS” lives at the West Queen West flagship to connect the north outpost with our roots.
Look up! Our signature neon purple cross will hang on the building’s exterior letting our new friends + guests know that they’ve arrived at a cultural crossroads.
What’s your favourite thing to do at home? Try new recipes? Host sleepover parties? Sip wine in the bath? Watch scary movies with your lover? Whatever your favourite activity is, we have something to make your indoor experience even better. From towels to cookbooks, piggy banks to candles our spring home collection will have you thinking home is where Drake General Store goodies live.
Located in the affluent inner-city area of Marylebone and in a 18th century building, the Monocle Cafe offers an elegant and contemporary space for snacks + drinks.
Design Mondays: Centre Pompidou Mobile
The French Ministry of Culture and the Centre Pompidou have started a collaboration that takes the traditional idea of a museum on the road. The colourful circus-like exterior contrasts with the traditional interior white space where the works are hosted. We hope that they make a trip across the pond!
