Check out these awesome RESERVED signs we made for Drake dining! We used old Harlequin Romance novels and transferred stickers onto the front and back. Reserve your romantic table for two at the Drake and after dessert, enjoy some tantelizing table literature. *wink*

The DX is excited to announce a new Play > Nation partnership. The Drake General Store will be putting together a pop-up shop in the DX Shop to coincide with Play > Nation.The pop-up shop will include an eclectic range of Canadiana items; from clothing, antiques, furniture, accessories, goodies and gadgets.The pop-up shop is officially open for business as of July 1, 2011.

We love summer in Toronto and all of the art festivals that come with the season! In collaboration with Shared and artist William Andrew Finlay Stewart, we produced a series of one-of-a-kind Luminato souvenir t shirts. Each top is hand drawn and an original numbered work.

We are so proud to have such talented and spectacular staff members. Rebecca Andoff, who has worked with us for over two years, creates jaw-dropping illustrations. Focusing each piece on a specific letter of the alphabet, Rebecca shows us there is zero limit to her imagination. Oh, and she makes her own Christmas wrapping paper. A+ for Andoff!

Toronto’s very own buzz band Austra are playing tonight at Lee’s Palace. Their video for “Lose It” is charmingly schizophrenic and haunting.

Come out this afternoon for some old fashioned sporting fun! Our friends play in a league of which Neil Young is an alumnus. They’re called “The Thunderbears” and you can catch them in their opening game at 4pm in Trinity Bellwoods.
